WWII Japanese sake cup with Japanese flags and a helmet in between. Underneath are the pink cherry blossoms – a symbol of celebration. This cup commemorates the owner’s participation in the war. The kanji script reads “Commemoration of the China incident” which most likely refers to Japan’s invasion of Manchuria in 1931.  Name is write on the base. The rim of the cup is blue fading into white . No chips in the main cup (but a very small nic on the base hardly visible (see photos)  Very good condition overall.
